The Galis minister to some of the 20,000 street children in Recife alone.  Construction has begun on the base property where kids will receive rehabilitative help at the Galis' Rescue and Restoration Farm.  There they are fed, clothed, and educated while they are cared for by CHristian workers.  They are renovating a house in the center of the city that will be a contact house where the street kids can receive food, first aid and love.  Mati has also received a new direction from the Lord to begin a similar work in India.  In April, 2002 a team of 10 went to Bombay to work with street children.
